SheetApps User Guide

Turn an Excel workbook (or Google Sheet) into a multi-user web app — forms, validation, lookups, import/export and more.

What is SheetApps?Start here

SheetApps generates a fully functional web application from an Excel workbook (or Google Sheet). You design your data and rules in familiar spreadsheet tabs; SheetApps reads them and builds data-entry forms, validation, dropdown lookups, calculated fields, and a records grid with import/export.

Each generated app keeps its data in its own isolated dataset, so apps stay separate and any one of them can be published as a standalone, self-contained deployment.

The workbook is a blueprint, not your data. SheetApps reads your workbook to build the application — its forms, field names, data types, lookups and rules. The cell values are only used as samples to infer each field's data type; they are not loaded as records, so a new app starts empty. Use Import after the app is created to load data.
