SheetApps gives you several ways to protect and recover data for your workspace, in the Admin console → Data tab.
How to backup and restore your workspace?
- Sign-in as an Admin user to your workspace
- Click on Admin Console and navigate to Data tab
Manual backup and restore:
- Click on Backup workspace to backup workspace data.
- Click on Restore from file to restore your workspace.
Automatic backup and restore:
- Turn on Automatic backup and select the days of retention.
- From the list of backup restore points, click on Restore to restore your workspace.
- You can also create a manual backup restore point by clicking on Backup Now
Note: Data tab is the central location for managing Data Lifecycle
Manual backup (all plans)
- Download a backup zip of your workspace at any time, and restore from a file later. You choose where to save it.
Recycle bin
- Deleted apps go to the recycle bin and can be restored within the retention window before they're purged.
Hosted automated backups (Max & Enterprise)
- Higher tiers can enable scheduled daily backups with a retention window the operator sets.
- The maximum days of retention of the backups are specific to Plan Tiers.
Good to know
- Restores are non-destructive — they recreate apps without overwriting your live data. They don't remove new apps and data.
- Record-level change history is available per app, and retention is managed in Housekeeping.
